When we were under Covid-19 restrictions, being located in the region of Lazio, we had to stay in Lazio.
At that time, visiting Rome was a unique experience: no tourists! Nobody sitting on the Spanish Steps, no selfies in front of the Fontana di Trevi, no queue to get into the Pantheon. Now, thing are back to “normal” with more tourists than ever before.
Fortunately, there is plenty to see, also outside Rome. Here are ten suggestions for day trips outside Rome.
Hint: it is preferable to stay in a hotel or B&B outside Rome if you drive yourself.
